Gathering
and Wire Stitcher The
gathering and wire-stitching machine serves for the economical
production of saddle-stitched brochures like magazines, TV, guides,
timetables catalogs, lists and similar printed matter.
Functional

machine comprises the following functional groups.

stitching heads or handling two stable sizes

the stitched brochures.

- When handling medium sizes and
favourable paper, the maximum speed of the gathering and
wire-stitching machine is up to 4,000 cycles per hour
Signature
and cover sheets are dropped on a circulating gathering chain and
conveyed to the stitching station the spine from the outside to the
inside with the wire staples.
The
two stitching heads fo stitchings with two staples are arranged under
a hinged guard. These can be easily set to the thickness of the
material to be stitched and to changes of the distance between the
staples.
Two
exchangeable stapling devices are supplied, one of them for thin and
the other one for thicker wire-gauge. After the stitching operation,
which can be performed with staggered or un-staggered position of the
staples, the brochures are delivered in imbricated form a belt
delivery.
